There are plenty of LCD monitors around that use the blue VGA connector. I am not sure what windows version you are using? i would not connect anything to green and blue connectors, they are for old tube monitors, if i am not mistaken!

Please note DirectX versions prior to DirectX 8.0 do not support shader models † Not available for Windows XP, Vista (and Win 7 prior to SP1) Once you've determined the version of DirectX running on your PC you can use the below chart to determin what Shader Model version is supported.

What version of DirectX do you have installed? Looks like Shader 3 is DirectX 9. Shader model 3 appears to be related to DirectX. The connector on the video card is called DVI. Don't understand, appears that card is an add on and the blue connection is integrated into the mother board? The card in the machine is a Radeon P/N 71202362006. Is there some sort of adapter for the other card so I could try that? If I got a new card, could I just unplug that card and replace it? Thanks for your time and any help. I don't think that other one is big enough anyway as I just read where it is only 512 mg bite card and I believe they need a 1 gb card. Never hooked up to that card as the cable from the monitor only fits into the blue one. It appears that this just is integrated into the motherboard but that there is another graphics card that has a white connection an several more pins. I am including a photo of the outside of the machine where the "normal" blue colored connection is for the display. From what I have learned, neither machine had a good enough card as I have installed latest drivers and get same result.

Farming Simulator 17 won't run on either machine as I get an error message indicating Shader model 3.0 is required and please install the latest video driver. I bought this Optiplex 990 and a 980, both similar machines from my company.
